Grom Notes:
- Must disconnect external mounted CD changer (retains built-in CD player/changer)
- Steering wheel track control if equipped (excluding AUX1)
- Supports text (excluding AUX1), however all BMW monochrome radios will not allow for text to be displayed
- BMWTxx is for TRUNK installation, for behind the radio installations (e.g. no NAV units) you need BMWSxx
- BMWSxx not compatible with DSP
- If you have a CD changer it simply plugs in there!
Dension Notes:
Business CD- Head units with DSP are not supported.
- Radios that are manufactured by Becker are not compatible.
- Original phone module must be removed or phone function must be disabled on the Gateway.
- Phone button on the radio or R/T button on the steering wheel is necessary, if the Gateway’s phone function will be used.
- Using EXT1GW2 extension cable (4,5m long) is necessary if the tuner is located in the boot.
- Text display is not possible if:
– the head unit is manufactured by Becker
– the head unit has phone module or preparation - Using EXT1GW1 extension cable (4,5m long) is necessary if the tuner is located in the boot.
