It can do it all, even bluetooth (add on)
The MST4 comes equipped with a USB port that connects to any USB drive, Android (prior to Version 9), and Apple Lightning device or the old 30 pin. But on top of that, you can supercharge this unit with an optional Bluetooth Dongle giving you the best of both worlds – enabling handsfree calling via bluetooth as well as audio streaming via A2DP.
Unfortunately Grom doesnt show this with the Bluetooth extension in this clip. But it just plugs in and then you mount the microphone and stream away!

Some Volvo cars may need to have a security patch removed. The latest car I have seen is now 2006. I have a network of a few dealers that have done it. Ask for info

Most people pair it with the BTD then it will. in my opinion the BTD is the whole point.

I am extremely happy with not only the Grom unit but the service . Very impressive.
My Volvo had no hands free or Bluetooth, Skot explained the unit in detail and helped with an audio electrician here in Perth.
The unit works very well, the installation professionally done.

The end result is fantastic but it was a bit of a process to get there. My queries were promptly answered, delivery was swift, installation was straightforward. However I encountered the MOST security issue which required a trip to Volvo for a software patch. Skot was super supportive the whole way and the sound quality and functionality provided by the unit is a joy. (2005 Volvo XC90 2.5T)
